The book Put Your Dream to the Test: 10 Questions that Will Help You See It and Seize It was my February “non-fiction” read and I’ve decided to share some brief notes about it. Most of the following are questions from the book that you should answer relative to your BIG dream.

The ownership question: is my dream really my dream?

The clarity question: Do I clearly see my dream?

Write a detailed description of your dream. Break your dream into measurable elements.
1. What is my dream?
2. What is my starting point?
3. What are my strengths and weaknesses?
4. What are my current positive and negative habits?
5. How long must I practice new habits to reach my potential?

The reality question: am I depending on factors within my control to achieve my dream?

The passion question: does my dream compel me to follow it?

The pathway question: Do I have a strategy to reach my dream? (SECURE)
State all your positions
Examine all your actions
Consider all your options
Utilize all your resources
Remove all your nonessentials
Embrace all your challenges

The people question: have I included the people I need to realize my dream?

Have a DREAM TEAM that inspires you, tells you the truth, and whose skills compliment yours.

The cost question: am I willing to pay the price for my dream?

The tenacity question: am I moving closer to my dream?

The fulfillment question: does working toward my dream bring satisfaction?

The significance question: does my dream benefit others?
